Sr. QA Engineer (Automation)

Job Overview:

Apply principles and techniques of engineering and computer science to design, develop, test, and deploy / maintains automated test frameworks, scripts, and tools to validate functionality, performance, and security of applications to meet customer requirements and achieve the business goals of the organization. Actively collaborates with developers, product teams and participate in the architecture design of applications/modules and prepare technical documentation. Can work independently on Test Solutions crafted using .NET or any other related technology stack. (.NET preferred)

Job Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Be able to translate business requirements into automated test cases/solutions.

· Can contribute to automation test framework(s) to support all aspects of Quality Assurance, including the execution of test plans to perform both functional and non-functional testing.

· Can perform manual test execution to verify software implementation meets the business requirements.

· Can contribute to the existing and newly prospective test environments and help troubleshoot issues in those test environments.

· Can troubleshoot automated test failures that run as a part of the Continuous Integration process.

· Can document bugs and issues with enough details to reproduce the item and verify the issue has been resolved after it has been fixed.

· Can deliver estimates in collaboration with the feature team and stakeholders.

· Can do Research and collaborate with their engineering team on continuous improvement initiatives.

Professional Qualities/Skills

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

· Experience as Sr. SDET / Automation Engineer or QA Automation Engineer.

· Experience in at least one object-oriented programming language like C# or Java or any other related programming language.

· Experience in JavaScript or TypeScript programming.

· Experience in the following automation testing tools; Selenium, WebDriver.io, JUnit/NUnit

· Working knowledge of behavior-driven development tools (i.e. Specflow, Gherkin / Cucumber etc.)

· Experience with Automated UI Testing and Testing Restful Web Services.

· Experience with distributed version control (e.g. Git, TFVC, VSTS).

· Understanding of Continuous Integration/Development.

· Experience with Lean/Agile/Scrum.
