Job Title: Senior QHSE Officer
Location: Dubai, UAE
A well-established and diversified business group operating across the UAE and Oman is seeking a highly competent and proactive Senior QHSE Officer to support and drive Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) systems at a Group level.
The group operates across multiple sectors including dredging & marine contracting, civil construction & infrastructure, technical equipment trading, marine equipment supply, and pipe engineering & fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of Group-level QHSE policies and procedures across all business units.
- Ensure compliance with UAE & Oman regulatory requirements and applicable international standards.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of integrated management systems (IMS).
- Coordinate ISO certification processes, including audits and surveillance visits.
- Conduct internal audits, inspections, and risk assessments across multiple project sites.
- Monitor HSE performance across marine, dredging, and construction operations.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities on QHSE matters when required.
- Conduct QHSE training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs across the organization.
- Prepare monthly QHSE reports and support management reviews.
- Maintain QHSE documentation, records, and compliance tracking systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory).
- ISO Lead Auditor certification preferred.
- Knowledge of:
- ISO 9001 (Quality Management System)
- ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System)
- ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System)
- Minimum 5–8 years of QHSE experience, preferably in dredging, marine, or construction sectors.
- Strong understanding of UAE regulations and international standards.
- Experience working across multiple sites or business units is highly preferred.
- Good analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
