Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in the mechanical stamping industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards, along with the ability to interpret and analyse 2D and 3D engineering drawings. This role is critical to ensuring product quality, process compliance, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Implement and maintain quality systems in accordance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards

* Conduct root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures for quality issues

* Review and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support APQP, PPAP, and FMEA activities

* Perform in-process inspections, final audits, and supplier quality evaluations

* Support internal and external quality audits, including documentation and follow-up actions

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools like 5 Why, Fishbone, and Pareto analysis

* Maintain and update quality documentation, control plans, and work instructions

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

* 2–3 years of experience in mechanical stamping or automotive manufacturing

* Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and related quality frameworks

* Proficiency in reading and interpreting 2D/3D drawings (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA)

* Familiarity with measurement tools (CMM, calipers, micrometers) and GD&T principles

* Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with supplier quality management and customer complaint handling

* Exposure to statistical process control (SPC) and MSA techniques

* Certification in Six Sigma, CQE, or similar quality programs is a plus
