Sr. Scrap Metal Buyer

C&Y Global Inc. is one of the fastest growing scrap-metal recycling companies, with warehouses in Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, Bratenahl, Livermore, Atlanta, and Oklahoma. From our establishment in 2004, our revenue has increased steadily. We are looking for high potential candidates who are interested in a long term career.

Hours: Monday- Friday; 8am- 5:00pm (subject to change)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the purchasing of non-ferrous scrap metals.
* Develop and grow partnerships with international and domestic customers. Includes consistent communication and regular travel to meet end objectives.
* Negotiating skills that combine the characteristics of a professional relationship and a well-developed strategy.
* Provide excellent customer focus to result in client satisfaction.
* Understand market trends within the non-ferrous metals markets.
* Assist in developing strategic plans for generating new sources and sales of raw material.
* Develop knowledge of scrap metal markets and the various tools necessary to compete (terminal markets, swaps, tolls, formula pricing, hedging, etc.).

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:

* Bachelors degree in : Management, or Supply Chain
* Minimum of 10+ years of successful experience in the non-ferrous scrap industry.
* Extensive professional network of suppliers and customers within the non-ferrous metals industry.
* The ability to excel under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, rapidly process information and make decisions based on market dynamics.
* Team player with the ability to build relationships and effectively interact both internally and externally with people at all levels of the organization.
* Excellent negotiations skills.
* Microsoft Office experience.
* Demonstrated ability to influence others and effect change.
* Highest level of personal and professional integrity.
