Sr. Software Engineer

POSITION: Sr. Backend Developer (5 years plus)

LOCATION: Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 6, Karachi

Nanosoft Technologies is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python (Django) to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for one of it’s client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern databases, cloud platforms, and API development, while mentoring junior developers and ensuring high performance, security, and reliability of applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Django Expertise: Strong command of Django's core components, including ORM, views, forms, and templates.
-API Proficiency: Proven experience with Django Rest Framework for designing and implementing robust APIs.
-Database Skills: Solid proficiency in PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and management.
-Front-end Awareness: Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for effective collaboration on template-driven development.
-Authentication: Experience with user authentication and authorization systems.
-Version Control: Proficient in using Git for collaborative development and version control.
-Experience with payment gateway integrations (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).
Knowledge of cloud storage services like AWS S3.
-Familiarity with asynchronous task queues such as Celery and Redis.
-Experience with Docker for containerization and deployment.
-Prior experience integrating with AI/ML services (e.g., OpenAI APIs).
-Understanding of email template systems and HTML email design principles.
-Experience with subscription management and referral systems

REQUIREMENTS:

-Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or related field.

-5+ years in backend development with Python.

-Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
