Sr. Teacher

One lead teacher per age group: (a) 1–2 years (Mom & Me program), (b) 2–3 years, (c) 3–4 years.

Job Description:-

The Lead Teacher is responsible for delivering the daily learning experience in their assigned classroom. They will implement the curriculum designed by the Head Coordinator, manage their classroom, work with assistant teachers, and communicate with parents about their child’s progress.

Key Responsibilities:-

•Implement daily and weekly learning plans as designed by the Head Coordinator

•Set up the classroom environment with appropriate materials and learning invitations •Facilitate structured activities and free play, adapting to children’s interests and energy levels

•Observe and document each child’s learning, behaviour, and developmental progress •Manage classroom routines: circle time, snack time, outdoor play, transitions, rest time •Guide and supervise assistant teachers in the classroom

•Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom at all times

•Communicate with parents daily (brief updates) and participate in periodic parent-teacher meetings

•Handle toileting, feeding support, and self-care routines for younger children (especially 1–2 age group)

• Participate in weekly team meetings and training sessions

• Report any concerns about a child’s development, behaviour, or safety to the Head Coordinator immediately.

Required Qualifications:-

•Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education / Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) / Montessori certification / B.Ed (ECE)

•Minimum 2 years of experience working with children aged 1–4 years in a preschool or daycare setting

•Comfortable with hands-on, play-based teaching (not textbook/worksheet-driven)

•Basic proficiency in English; fluency in Tamil

•Patient, warm, and genuinely enjoys being around young children

•Physically able to sit on the floor, move around actively, and manage the energy of young children throughout the day.

Preferred (Good to Have) :-

•Montessori or Reggio Emilia training

•Experience with sensory play, art-based learning, and nature-based activities

•First aid / child safety training

•Familiarity with handling children with diverse learning needs

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
