Job Summary:
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales of water treatment solutions, including DM Plants, RO Plants, Softeners, and Filters. This role requires strong technical knowledge, customer relationship management, and the ability to convert opportunities into successful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and marketing of Demineralization Plants, Reverse Osmosis Plants, Softeners, and Filters.
- Cold calling, enquiry generation, and lead conversion.
- Coordination for order finalization, execution, and payment collection.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Generate leads, share company profiles, and follow up with prospects.
- Travel outside Mumbai as required for client meetings and business development.
- Attend client review meetings and represent SCT Water professionally.
- Submit accurate daily/weekly sales reports.
Technical & Software Skills:
- Strong understanding of Demineralization (DM), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Softeners, Filtration systems, ETP/STP/ZLD technologies.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, datasheets, and technical specifications.
- Exposure to sizing pumps, membranes, filters, and preparing BOQs, costing sheets, and techno-commercial offers.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- AutoCAD (2D essential, 3D preferred) – for basic schematic drawings.
- MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) – for reports, costing sheets, and presentations.
- ERP/CRM tools (SAP, Zoho CRM, Salesforce, or similar) – for lead tracking, quotations, and order execution.
- Basic Simulation/Calculation tools (if applicable – e.g., RO design software like Hydranautics IMS Design, Dow Water & Process Solutions ROSA).
- Experience in preparing techno-commercial bids and responding to tenders (government/private).
