SRE ENGINEER

We are hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer / Platform Engineer to own the reliability, security, automation, and scalability of our AWS EKS platform.

This is a Platform Ownership role, not a traditional DevOps position.

You will design and operate production-grade Kubernetes platforms, enforce security policies, implement GitOps workflows, and drive SRE operational excellence across environments.

Key Responsibilities: Kubernetes & EKS Platform Engineering

• Architect, deploy, and operate production AWS EKS clusters
• Implement EKS automation using EKS Blueprints
• Perform Kubernetes/EKS version upgrades with minimal downtime

Autoscaling & Compute Optimization

• Design and operate Karpenter-based autoscaling
• Optimize cost, performance, and availability using dynamic provisioning

Service Mesh & Traffic Management

• Design and operate Istio (sidecar / ambient mesh)
• Implement mTLS, retries, circuit breaking, and timeout policies

Policy, Security & Runtime Protection

• Enforce Kubernetes admission policies using Kyverno / OPA Gatekeeper
• Operate Falco for runtime threat detection
• Integrate security controls into GitOps pipelines

Infrastructure as Code

• Build reusable Terraform modules (VPC, EKS, Transit Gateway)
• Implement Terragrunt for multi-account and multi-region deployments

GitOps & Platform Operations

• Design and operate Argo CD for platform and add-on management
• Define Git-based promotion and access models

Observability & SRE Operations

• Build Prometheus-based monitoring and alerting
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis
• Reduce operational toil through automation and self-service tooling

Security & Compliance

• Own remediation of Wiz security findings across AWS and EKS
• Partner with Security teams to implement preventive guardrails

MUST HAVE (Hard Filters – Profiles without these will not be considered)

• 6+ years experience in SRE / Platform Engineering / Cloud Infrastructure
• Production ownership of AWS EKS
• Strong hands-on Terraform + Terragrunt
• GitOps using Argo CD
• Karpenter autoscaling
• Istio service mesh experience
• Kyverno or OPA/Gatekeeper
• Falco runtime security
• Prometheus monitoring
• Strong AWS fundamentals: VPC, IAM, EC2, ALB/NLB, EBS/EFS
• Proven Wiz remediation experience
• Willingness to share current compensation details / payslip as part of the hiring process

Nice to Have

• Ambient Mesh
• SLO / SLI / Error Budget experience
• Regulated or large-scale environments

• Backend engineers
• Junior DevOps engineers
• CI/CD-only profiles
• Freshers
