Stablecoin Product Lead

Location: Bahrain

Job Overview:

We are hiring a Stablecoin Product Lead to architect, build, launch, and operate stablecoin products end-to-end. This role requires deep technical fluency, strong product ownership, and direct experience designing stablecoin issuance frameworks, reserve structures, smart contract logic, and operational controls in live production environments.

This is a hands-on technical and product design leadership role, not a partnership or business development position.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Own the technical and functional product architecture for stablecoin issuance.

2.Design mint/burn mechanisms, issuance controls, permissioning, and governance logic.

3.Define on-chain and off-chain system architecture, including wallets, custody, settlement, and reconciliation flows.

4.Work directly with engineering teams on smart contract specifications, audits, and deployments.

5.Design and govern reserve and treasury frameworks, including liquidity, reconciliation, reporting, and audit readiness.

6.Embed regulatory, compliance, and risk controls directly into product and technical design

7.Define technical requirements for integrations with:

Banks and custodians, Blockchain networks, Wallet providers, Payment and settlement rails

8. Own technical readiness for production launches, scaling, and operational resilience

9. Drive go-to-market readiness from a product and systems perspective (this role does not focus on partnerships)

Core Technical & Product Responsibilities

Stablecoin product architecture and system design

Smart contract design, review, and lifecycle management

Blockchain network selection and interoperability strategy

Custody, wallet, and key management workflows

On-chain / off-chain reconciliation and reporting

Treasury and reserve system integration

Security, audit, and operational risk design

Key Requirements:

Required Technical Qualifications

1.Direct, hands-on experience designing and launching a stablecoin in a live production environment.

2.Strong understanding of blockchain architecture (L1/L2s, consensus models, finality, gas economics).

3.Working knowledge of smart contract development (e.g. Solidity or equivalent) — able to define specs, review code, and engage deeply with engineers (hands-on coding not required, but architectural ownership is).

4.Experience with wallet infrastructure, custody solutions, and key management systems (HSM/MPC).

5.Deep understanding of stablecoin mint/burn flows, issuance controls, and on-chain governance.

6.Experience designing reserve management and treasury operating models integrated with on-chain issuance.

7.Familiarity with security audits, smart contract audits, and incident response processes.

8.Strong understanding of on/off-ramps, payments infrastructure, and settlement systems.

Experience & Background

1.10 - 15 years in fintech, digital assets, payments, treasury, or financial infrastructure.

2.Experience in a global crypto, digital asset, payments, or regulated financial institution.

3.Proven exposure to the full stablecoin lifecycle: architecture → issuance → reserve management → market launch → operations.

4.Experience working with regulators, auditors, banks, and custodians in regulated environments

Others

1.Proficiency in English as the working language. Proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.

2.Possess legal eligibility to work in Bahrain/Hong Kong, or demonstrate exceptional qualifications to secure a Bahrain/Hong Kong work visa.
