<Overview>
Join our team as a Staff Accountant and become a vital contributor to our organization’s financial health and integrity. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial controls and procedures for cash, financial documents and resources in accordance with GAAP. This is a part-time, non-management position that offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a non-profit environment while making a meaningful impact on our organization’s success.
<Responsibilities>
- Maintains financial controls and procedures for cash, financial documents and resources in accordance with GAAP
- Processes accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Processes payroll, sick time, vacation pay, including bi-weekly payroll taxes, maintains payroll records and workbooks
- Prepares daily deposits with Development Assistant
- Reconciles Development donor reports with Development Assistant
- Prepares and assists with monthly reports and journal entries
- Monitors use of restricted funds
- Monthly reconciliation and verification of gift cards, bus pass and gas card reports
- Performs grant reimbursement draw downs and fund transfers as needed
- Assist with general ledger account reconciliations
- Assist with fixed asset inventory and depreciation schedule
- Assist team in preparing for annual audit
- Assist team with annual budget
- Answer phones as needed
- Performs and assists with special projects as needed or assigned
- <Requirements>
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered. Excel experience required.
- Non-profit account preferred
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
