Staff Accountant

Role Overview

This is a highly hands-on role responsible for owning the full accounting cycle end-to-end. You will work closely with - and report directly to - the Finance Director, taking ownership of core accounting processes including reconciliations, journal entries, and the monthly close.

This is not a managerial position. It is an execution-focused role suited for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working in the details, and is comfortable independently running accounting operations from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and execute the monthly close process
• Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, etc.)
• Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Manage or oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Assist with year-end close and external CPA/audit requests
• Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation
• Provide administrative support and assist cross-functionally across departments

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience (public or private)
• Strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals
• Experience owning or heavily contributing to the monthly close process
• Proficiency with ERPs and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Apparel Magic)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, lean environment
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently

Compensation

This role offers a base salary commensurate with experience. This role also offers meaningful growth potential as the company scales, with opportunities for increased responsibility and compensation over time.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
