Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and supporting financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, experience with various accounting software, and a passion for accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and review financial statements to identify discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures in compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Support internal controls related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and assist with audit preparations.
  • Utilize various financial software platforms such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Paychex, and others to streamline accounting operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, tax filings, data entry tasks, and financial analysis projects.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles including GAAP and governmental accounting standards.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro or similar platforms.
  • Experience with payroll management systems like Paychex or ADP is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and internal control procedures.
  • Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; familiarity with 10 key typing and double-entry bookkeeping methods.
  • Ability to perform account analysis, reconcile accounts accurately, and interpret financial concepts effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills combined with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
