We are looking for a Staff Accountant who is early in their career, eager to learn, and ready to build real skills in a small firm environment where you will see the full picture — not just a sliver of a larger process.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

This is a hands-on execution role. You will be supporting bookkeeping review, write-up, and tax preparation under the guidance of senior staff. As you grow in the role, your independence and responsibility grow with you.

• Monthly accounting & financial accuracy — reconciliations, categorizations, and account balances
• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries as needed to bring client books to tax-ready condition
• Assist with preparation of individual and small business tax returns — 1040s and straightforward entity returns — under senior review
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and identify discrepancies before work moves to tax preparation
• Organize and track client documents, deadlines, and deliverable status across your assigned work
• Support advisory efforts while gaining knowledge
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members on open items, questions, and status updates
• Grow over time into more independent return preparation and eventually direct client advisory

WHO YOU ARE

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
• 1–4 years of accounting experience — public accounting experience is a plus but not required at this level
• CPA eligible, EA, or actively pursuing licensure — candidates who want the credential are strongly preferred
• Comfortable working with QuickBooks, Excel, and willing to learn firm tax software
• Detail-oriented and organized — you catch things and take pride in getting it right
• A self-starter who asks good questions and does not wait for someone to tell them what to do next
• Friendly and professional — you work well with a small team and take feedback well
• You want to build a real career in accounting advisory

Total compensation including benefits typically lands between $60K–$85K depending on experience. Salary is commensurate with what you bring to the role.
