As a Staff Accountant, you will have a blend of general accounting activities along with a variety of financial analyst responsibilities. This position will be an equal split of accounting and analytical activities. pc/nametag is looking for a positive, self-driven, detail-oriented and collaborative individual to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Day to Day Support (70%)

• Accounts receivable activities, inclusive of handling customer requests regarding payment and billing issues, processing refund checks, review of credit holds, and recording return authorizations.
• Accounts payable activities, inclusive of reviewing and processing of vendor invoices, and management of payment runs.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Sales tax reconciliations and customer support
• Contract record retention

Analytical Support (30%)

• Ownership of the P&L to support month end financial completion (reconciliations, journal entries, P&L reviews)
• Involvement in the annual planning process
• Systems testing to ensure flow through the financials is accurate.
• Partner with the Controller to deepen your understanding of the business and strengthen your skills.
• Special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (minor or major)
• 3+ years of experience in an accounting environment
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to follow defined processes on day-to-day support activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
