Position Summary

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Staff Accountant is a key member of the finance team responsible for supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and other accounting functions. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization's day-to-day financial operations.

Primary ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable

• Enter and process vendor invoices
• Prepare and process payments
• Maintain vendor records and 1099 information
• Manage credit card receipt reconciliation and filing
• Assist with finance department administrative tasks

Accounts Receivable

• Process cash, check, and credit card receipts
• Enter and maintain donor and campaign information
• Maintain accurate donor records
• Support campaign and pledge tracking

General Accounting

• Perform bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Support annual audit preparation
• Assist with additional accounting projects as assigned

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, AP/AR, or related experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience reconciling accounts and maintaining financial records
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred:

• Nonprofit accounting experience
• Experience with Financial Edge and/or Salesforce

Work Environment

This position is expected to work in the office a minimum of three days per week, with flexibility based on organizational needs.
