We are a fully remote firm that provides fractional accounting services to a variety of organizations, primarily rural hospitals, nonprofits, and small businesses. Role Overview

We are seeking a Staff Accountant with 2–4 years of experience to join our team. This role supports financial operations for hospitals and other organizations through month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Month-End Close

• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations (cash, AR, AP)
• Support monthly and quarterly close
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation

Financial Reporting

• Assist with financial statements and internal reports
• Analyze variances and flag issues early

Process & Systems

• Follow structured workflows and templates
• Identify ways to improve efficiency

Client Support

• Communicate with clients professionally
• Support finance leaders in delivering high-quality work

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 2–4 years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry)
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred

• Experience working in a remote environment
• Experience working with healthcare organizations or hospitals
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $60,000 – $80,000, depending on experience
