Senior Accountant – Remote Opportunity with a People-First CPA Firm

Lab Coat CPAs is a growing CPA firm specializing in small business accounting and tax services for dental and veterinary practices nationwide. We are known for our strong culture, exceptional client relationships, and long-term team retention.

We are seeking a Senior Accountant / Tax Accountant with 3–6 years of public accounting experience who enjoys working directly with business owners and delivering high-quality accounting and tax services.

This is a fully remote position offering flexibility, autonomy, and career growth within a supportive firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review small business tax returns, primarily S Corporations and owners
• Review bookkeeping and accounting records for accuracy
• Prepare tax projections and assist with tax planning
• Research federal and state tax issues
• Communicate accounting and tax matters clearly to clients
• Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
• Collaborate with Client Managers and firm Partners

Required Experience & Skills

• 3–6 years of public accounting experience
• Strong background in small business accounting and taxation
• Experience with S Corporations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Comfortable using cloud-based accounting software

Education & Credentials

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• CPA license (preferred, not required)
• Master’s in Taxation (a plus)

Software Experience (Preferred)

• UltraTax / Thomson Reuters
• QuickBooks Online
