As we expand our Karachi operations, we're eager to welcome a Staff Accountant into our fold. Your contributions will be crucial in overseeing financial transactions, reporting, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Accounting Reconciliation: Conduct month-end and year-end accounting procedures, preparing financial statements and reports, including accounts reconciliation and preparing journal entries.
- Ledger Management: Ensure the accounts payable and receivable ledgers are managed timely, adhering to accounting protocols.
- Data Analysis: Execute detailed data entry and financial analysis, leveraging state-of-the-art software to maintain accurate records and craft insightful reports.
- Regulatory Compliance: Keep updated with US regulatory standards, including GAAP and IFRS, to ensure all financial documentation and processes are compliant.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for senior management review, highlighting key insights and variances.
- Vendor Relations: Foster strong relationships with vendors to verify invoice details and swiftly resolve any discrepancies.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Maintain effective communication with US-based clients and team members, ensuring clarity and understanding of financial information and adherence to established standards.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in the use of Excel and QuickBooks Online, with Zoho Books knowledge as an added advantage.
- Analytical Capability: Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Fluent in English, capable of effective dialogue with international clientele and colleagues.
- Autonomy: Competent in managing responsibilities independently in a dynamic setting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Candidates who are CA or ACCA finalists will be given preference.
Experience
- At least 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, exposure to US-based firms preferred.
- Experience working in a BPO Industry, Audit Firm, or Multinational Company, showcasing versatility across various accounting frameworks.
- Proven expertise in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
