Welcomes all guests to the casino and assists guests with luggage to and from their vehicles as well as to their hotel room.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greets all guests of the hotel/casino.
- Assists guests with luggage, to and from vehicles as well as to and from hotel rooms.
- When assisting guests to room, informs guest of the hotel’s facilities and hours of operation.
- Issues luggage claim tag and stores luggage in bell closet when necessary.
- Responds to guest inquiries and directs guests around the hotel.
- Explains proper use of keys system and ensures the guests' satisfaction with their room.
- Accurately gives directions, information, and recommendations.
- Ensures organization and cleanliness of all work areas.
- Complies with all reasonable requests made by management.
- The ability to work in a fast –paced environment and stressful situations.
- All other duties as assigned.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Manager of Guest Experience then to the Director of Resort Operations.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times. Must be able to read and write to ensure proper and accurate luggage claim tickets.
- The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
- You will need to be available to work all shifts.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not necessary.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- You will need to be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. The ability to push, pull, kneel, twist, carry and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to lift and transport luggage using correct and safe baggage handling procedures and a bell cart when necessary. Uses proper cart handling techniques when using a bell cart.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
