Position Summary
SOAR Partners is seeking a sharp, enthusiastic, and values-aligned Staff Consultant with a background in accounting and an interest in cross-functional consulting. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional (1–3 years of experience, including internships) eager to grow in a fast-paced, purpose-driven firm where high performance is rewarded with rapid advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Transactional Accounting: Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including data entry, processing accounts payable/receivable, and maintaining accurate digital ledgers.
- Financial Recordkeeping: Assist with bank reconciliations, credit card coding, and maintaining organized digital filing systems for all fiscal documentation.
- Month-End Support: Provide clerical support during the month-end close process, ensuring all journal entries and supporting documents are prepared with excellent attention to detail.
- Reporting Assistance: Help draft basic financial summaries and schedules using proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Staff Consultant to ensure all data is audit-ready and aligns with firm standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (required).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical: Exceptional research and data-entry accuracy.
- Technical: High comfort level with Excel; exposure to QuickBooks or similar accounting tools is a plus.
- Traits: A team-first mentality with a commitment to diligence and accuracy.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience - may include internships (public accounting, audit, nonprofit finance, or consulting preferred)
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and time management skills
- High comfort level with Excel and financial systems; exposure to QuickBooks or similar tools is a plus
- Willingness to learn about nonprofit and government funding systems

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $42,500.00 - $52,850.00 per year
