Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Provide nursing care to antenatal, postnatal, neonatal, and pediatric patients.
- Assist doctors during examinations, deliveries, cesarean sections, surgeries, and procedures.
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake-output, and patient conditions regularly.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and treatments as per physician’s orders.
- Ensure safe handling and care of newborns, including feeding, bathing, immunization support, and monitoring.
- Provide counseling and health education to mothers regarding breastfeeding, newborn care, hygiene, family planning, and vaccination.
Clinical Duties
- Prepare patients for labor, surgeries, and procedures, ensuring comfort and emotional support.
- Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent hospital-acquired infections.
- Assist in emergencies such as postpartum hemorrhage, neonatal resuscitation, or complications.
- Collect and label samples (blood, urine, swabs) and ensure timely dispatch to laboratories.
- Maintain accurate patient records, charts, and reports.
Operational Duties
- Ensure cleanliness, sterilization, and proper maintenance of medical equipment and instruments.
- Adhere to hospital infection control protocols and biomedical waste management guidelines.
- Maintain stock of consumables, emergency drugs, and supplies in assigned wards/units.
- Ensure proper admission, transfer, and discharge procedures for patients.
Communication & Teamwork
- Coordinate with doctors, pediatricians, obstetricians, anesthetists, and other healthcare staff for smooth patient care.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families.
- Report promptly any unusual symptoms, incidents, or equipment failures to supervisors.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Registration: Must be a registered nurse with the State Nursing Council.
- Experience: Preferably 1–3 years of experience in obstetrics, gynecology, NICU, PICU, or pediatric wards (freshers may also be considered).
- Skills:
- Strong clinical knowledge in maternity and child care.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and under emergency situations.
- Compassion, patience, and attention to detail.
Work Conditions
- Rotational shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- May require extended working hours in case of emergencies.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
