Staff Nurse

Qualification - Bsc Nursing / DGNM

Experience - 2 to 5 Years

• Staff nurses provide direct patient care by administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and implementing care plans. They also document patient information, educate patients and their families about their conditions, and advocate for patient needs. Staff nurses collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals, manage patient admissions and discharges, and respond to medical emergencies. Patient Care & Monitoring
• Assess and Monitor: Conduct initial assessments and continuously monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status for any signs of deterioration or improvement.

Documentation & Planning

• Record Information: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting medical histories, symptoms, and observations.
• Develop Care Plans: Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans in collaboration with doctors.

Communication & Collaboration

• Liaise with Healthcare Teams: Communicate and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Educate Patients and Families: Provide patients and their families with information about medical conditions, treatment processes, medication usage, and post-discharge care.

Advocacy & Safety

• Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate to ensure their needs and rights are met.
• Hygiene and Safety: Ensure patient areas are kept clean, follow infection control protocols to prevent hospital-acquired infections, and maintain safety standards.

Emergency & Operational Duties

• Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies, performing life-saving interventions like CPR when necessary.
• Admissions & Discharges: Oversee the procedures for admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
• Administer Treatments: Administer prescribed medications, injections, IV fluids, and other treatments, such as wound care.
