Job Summary:
Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to clients in their homes. Implement and oversee individual care plans, manage treatments and medications, monitor vital signs, and deliver compassionate support while liaising with physicians, families, and relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health status and home environment
- Develop, execute, and regularly review personalized nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams
- Administer medications, perform wound care, manage feeding tubes (NG/Peg), and monitor vital signs and patient responses
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment protocols, self-care strategies, and preventive health measures
- Serve as a care coordinator—facilitating communication and scheduling among physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and social workers as needed
- Document care activities, patient progress, incidents, and updates accurately in line with regulatory and organizational standards
- Uphold infection control, hygiene, and safety protocols within home settings
- Provide emotional support, build trust, and encourage patient autonomy and comfort
- Remain current on evidence-based practices, policies, and home nursing care guidelines
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi) nursing license; DHA eligibility letters may be acceptable depending on employer
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent (diploma may sometimes be considered)
- Preferably 1–2+ years of clinical experience; prior ICU, medical-surgical, pediatric, or geriatric home care settings highly valued
- Experience in feeding tube management (NG/Peg) is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills—communication, compassion, patience, teamwork, observation, and stress management
