Staff Nurse

A staff nurse provides direct patient care, administers medications and treatments, monitors patient health by recording vital signs, and maintains accurate medical records. They collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, educate patients and families on health maintenance, and assist in medical emergencies. Key responsibilities

• Patient care and monitoring: Assess patient needs, monitor vital signs and symptoms, and provide direct bedside care.
• Medication and treatment administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
• Record keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records, including histories, test results, and progress notes.
• Collaboration: Work with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create and evaluate patient care plans.
• Patient and family education: Provide instructions and education to patients and their families regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-hospital care.
• Emergency response: Respond to and provide immediate care during medical emergencies, such as accidents, cardiac arrest, or stroke.
• Administrative tasks: Facilitate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Maintain a safe environment: Ensure the healthcare facility's policies and procedures are followed to maintain a clean and safe environment.
