Responsibilities
- Receive and prepare patients
- Verify patient identity, medical history, and test orders
- Explain procedures, address patient concerns, and ensure comfort and safety
- Adhere to infection-control standards, sample handling guidelines, and diagnostic safety protocols
- Perform basic nursing procedures such as vital sign monitoring, IV cannulation (if required), and pre-procedure assessments
- Support doctors during specialized procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records, consent forms, and test details
- Coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times
Qualifications
- Diploma/BSc in Nursing from a recognized institution
- Valid nursing license/registration with the relevant nursing council
- Experience in diagnostic, outpatient, or clinical settings preferred
Skills Required
- Strong patient-care and communication skills
- Knowledge of diagnostic procedures and sample handling
- Attention to detail and accurate documentation
