Role Overview
You will be part of a high-efficiency eye hospital focused on cataract, LASIK, cornea, retina and OPD care. The role requires a calm, responsible, patient-focused nursing professional who can assist in OPD & OT and maintain smooth clinical workflow.
Key Responsibilities
1. OPD Duties
- Maintain patient flow, coordinate files, and manage OPD rooms.
- Guide patients regarding drops, medications, and follow-up instructions.
- Handle basic documentation and EMR entries.
2. OT Duties (Eye OT)
- Prepare the patients for cataract, LASIK, cornea & retina surgeries.
- Handle pre-operative and post-operative patient preparation.
- Ensure strict aseptic techniques & infection control protocols.
3. Patient Care & Communication
- Maintain a calm, reassuring approach—especially with anxious patients.
- Explain instructions clearly in Hindi / local language when needed.
- Monitor patient vitals before and after surgery, give basic injections as per instruction.
4. Administration & Protocols
- Maintain nursing records, stock entries, and OT registers.
- Follow NABH protocols, checklists, and safety guidelines.
- Report shortages, issues, or complications immediately to the in-charge.
Required Qualifications
- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing with valid registration.
- Experience in Ophthalmology is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic computer skills (typing, EMR).
- Good communication skills; polite, patient-friendly attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
