STAFF NURSE

Job Description – Staff Nurse

Position: Staff Nurse
Department: Nursing
Reporting To: Nursing In-Charge / Nursing Supervisor

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care as per hospital protocols and nursing standards
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and maintain nursing documentation
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed by doctors
• Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, and emergencies
• Ensure proper hygiene, comfort, and safety of patients
• Maintain infection control practices and follow hospital policies
• Coordinate with doctors, GDAs, and other healthcare staff for patient care
• Educate patients and attendants about care procedures
• Maintain and check medical equipment and supplies
• Report any change in patient condition to the concerned doctor/supervisor

Qualification & Experience:

• GNM / B.Sc Nursing
• Valid Nursing Council Registration
• Relevant hospital experience preferred

Skills Required:

• Good clinical and patient-care skills
• Effective communication and teamwork
• Ability to work in shifts and under pressure
