Job Summary

The Dressing Staff Nurse is responsible for providing wound care management, performing dressings, assisting in minor procedures, and ensuring proper infection control practices. The role involves assessing wounds, monitoring healing progress, and educating patients on wound care management.

Key Responsibilities1. Wound Care & Dressing

  • Perform sterile and non-sterile dressings as per physician orders
  • Assess wound condition (size, depth, infection signs, drainage)
  • Clean and dress surgical wounds, burns, ulcers, and traumatic injuries
  • Assist doctors during minor surgical procedures
  • Remove sutures and staples as directed

2. Patient Care

  • Monitor patients for signs of infection or complications
  • Educate patients and caregivers on wound care and hygiene
  • Provide pain management support during dressing procedures
  • Maintain patient comfort and privacy

3. Documentation

  • Record wound assessment findings accurately
  • Update patient charts with treatment details
  • Maintain dressing logs and supply usage records

4. Infection Control

  • Follow strict aseptic techniques
  • Dispose of medical waste according to hospital protocols
  • Ensure proper sterilization of instruments

5. Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with doctors, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Report any abnormal findings immediately
  • Participate in ward rounds when required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
