Staff Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our nursing home team and provide high quality clinical care to our elderly residents.

The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting dignity, comfort, and wellbeing while ensuring that each resident receives safe, person-centred support. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for caring for older adults.

The Nurse will play a key role in administering medication, monitoring health needs, supporting care staff, and maintaining exceptional standards of practice.

Duties

• Deliver high quality nursing care in line with residents’ individual care plans and clinical needs.
• Administer medication safely and accurately, following regulatory and organisational guidelines.
• Monitor residents’ health, respond to changes in condition, and escalate concerns
• appropriately.
• Work collaboratively with care staff, offering guidance, support, and clinical leadership.
• Maintain accurate and uptodate records, including care notes, medication charts, and incidentreports.
• Contribute to the development and review of personalised care plans.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, infection control procedures, and CQC requirements.
• Liaise with families, external professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Nurse within a nursing home or elderly care setting is highly desirable.
• Professional Nursing Qualification such as: RGN (Registered General Nurse) or RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse)
• Strong clinical assessment skills and experience supporting individuals with complex health needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Confident in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting.
• Compassionate, patient centred approach with a commitment to maintaining high standards of care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple responsibilities.
• A valid driving licence is desirable but not essential.
