Staff Nurse – Gynaecology Department
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care and Monitoring:
- Monitor and record vital signs, fetal heart rates, and contractions during labor.
- Assist in the management of pain and administer prescribed medications.
- Care for patients undergoing treatment for gynaecological conditions, such as fibroids, PCOS, or infertility.
- Assistance During Procedures:
- Assist doctors during normal deliveries, C-sections, D&Cs, IUD insertions, and other procedures.
- Prepare equipment and instruments needed for surgeries and examinations.
- Ensure patients’ physical and emotional comfort throughout the procedure.
- Pre and Post-Operative Care:
- Prepare patients for surgeries or deliveries, ensuring all investigations and pre-op checks are complete.
- Provide post-operative care by monitoring for signs of infection or complications and assisting with recovery.
- Patient Education and Counseling:
- Educate patients about reproductive health, prenatal and postnatal care, family planning, and breastfeeding.
- Provide emotional support to patients dealing with infertility or pregnancy loss.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, nursing care, medications administered, and clinical observations.
- Adhere to hospital policies and ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Emergency Care Management:
- Identify and manage obstetric emergencies such as preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress.
- Initiate emergency protocols and assist during neonatal resuscitation if required.
- Coordination and Teamwork:
- Collaborate with doctors, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Education: B.Sc. Nursing / GNM / ANM
- Strong knowledge of antenatal, labor, and postnatal care.
- Ability to handle obstetric emergencies calmly and efficiently.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of gynaecological disorders and surgical procedures.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
