Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs, clinical conditions, and responses to treatment.
- Administer medications, IV infusions, and other therapies safely and accurately.
- Operate and maintain specialized ICU equipment (ventilators, infusion pumps, monitors).
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients’ families regarding conditions and treatments.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and patient safety standards.
- Document patient care activities, interventions, and outcomes accurately in medical records.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, including code blues and rapid response calls.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
- Valid nursing license/registration with the appropriate nursing council.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in ICU or critical care settings (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of critical care protocols, pharmacology, and advanced life support.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
