Key Responsibilities

Safely administer chemotherapy drugs following prescribed protocols and physician orders.

Manage administration routes, including intravenous (cannula and port), subcutaneous, oral, and intrathecal.

Monitor patients for side effects during and after chemotherapy administration.

Patient Management assesses patients for potential side effects of chemotherapy and implements appropriate interventions.

Educate patients on managing common side effects at home.

Collaborate with the physician to manage any adverse drug reactions.

Emergency Response assists the resident physician in managing any medical emergencies that may arise during treatment.

Remain calm and take appropriate actions to ensure patient safety.

Document all procedures, assessments, and interventions accurately.
