Key Responsibilities

• Safely administer chemotherapy drugs following prescribed protocols and physician orders.
• Manage administration routes, including intravenous (cannula and port), subcutaneous, oral, and intrathecal.
• Monitor patients for side effects during and after chemotherapy administration.
• Patient Management assesses patients for potential side effects of chemotherapy and implements appropriate interventions.
• Educate patients on managing common side effects at home.
• Collaborate with the physician to manage any adverse drug reactions.
• Emergency Response assists the resident physician in managing any medical emergencies that may arise during treatment.
• Remain calm and take appropriate actions to ensure patient safety.
• Document all procedures, assessments, and interventions accurately.
