Staff Nurse - Labour room

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Monitoring:Closely monitor the mother's vital signs, the baby's heart rate, and the progress of labor.
  • Direct Care:Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  • Delivery Assistance:Assist the doctor during labor and delivery.
  • Postpartum Care:Provide care for the mother and newborn in the immediate postpartum period, teaching the mother about breastfeeding and infant care.
  • Emotional Support:Offer emotional and psychological support to the mother and her family.
  • Documentation:Maintain detailed records of patient histories, observations, and any changes in condition.
  • Team Collaboration:Work effectively with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Equipment Management:Ensure the labor room is prepared with necessary equipment, instruments, and emergency drugs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Nursing Education:A degree in nursing, such as an associate's or bachelor's degree.
  • Nursing License:A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Clinical Experience:Experience in labor and delivery is often required.
  • Communication Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions.
  • Stress Management:The ability to work effectively under pressure and in stressful situations.
  • Flexibility:A willingness to work shifts and be on-call for emergencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
