Staff Nurse (Labour Room)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Qualification: Bsc Nursing/ GNM

Experience: 2 year in Labour Room (Required)

Duties and Responsibilities

· Assist with admission and transfer of patients.

· Arrange the labor room and ventilate the room.

· Have knowledge about the functions of equipment used in the department.

· Monitoring vital signs such as blood pressure body temperature pulse rate, respiration, spo2, FHS etc.

· Administer medications under the guidance of doctors and observe for desirable effects of the drug.

· Take culture swabs from Labor table, trolley and the wall periodically for confirming the sterility of the room.

· Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing care.

· Arrange the instruments and equipments necessary for the deliveries.

· Check the patient in the Labor room by checking the name and hospital number, file, consent for delivery and medications to be given to the patient.

· Shift the patient to the labor table after informing the Gynecologist..

· Assist the doctors for the delivery and carry out their orders as prescribed.

· Attending births and providing care for new born directly after birth.

· Cleaning the instruments and equipments used.

· Send the instrument sets to the CSSD for sterilization.

· Assist in shifting the patient to the ward.

· Fumigating the labor room periodically.

· Updating the labor room registers by entering deliveries of the day.

· Use appropriate methods of communication to establish a nurse, client relationship.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Education:

• Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

• Nursing: 1 year (Required)
