Staff Nurse (NICU)

• Provide round-the-clock nursing care to neonates admitted in NICU.
• Monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, BP, SpO₂) and document accurately.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products as per prescription.
• Maintain and monitor ventilators, CPAP, incubators, warmers, infusion pumps.
• Assist in neonatal procedures (intubation, surfactant administration, line insertion, lumbar puncture).
• Perform neonatal feeding (gavage, IV nutrition, breastfeeding support).
• Ensure proper positioning, thermoregulation, and developmental care.
• Follow strict infection control practices and hand hygiene.
• Maintain asepsis during procedures and line care.
• Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation as per policy.
• Identify and report any safety incidents or adverse events.
• Maintain nursing records, intake-output charts, medication charts, and nursing notes.
• Participate in shift handover and clinical rounds.
• Report abnormal findings immediately to the treating doctor.
• Ensure NICU equipment is functional and report faults promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of NICU beds and surroundings.
• Assist in stock checking and inventory of consumables.
• Provide emotional support and basic counseling to parents.
• Educate parents on newborn care, feeding, hygiene, and follow-up needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and compassionate communication.
• Work collaboratively with doctors, respiratory therapists, and other staff.
• Participate in training programs, mock drills, audits, and quality improvement activities.

Qualification

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
• Valid Nursing Council Registration
• NICU / Pediatric experience preferred

Experience

• 1–3 years in NICU (desirable)

Salary is Negotiable for deserving Candidate.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
