Key Duties:
Pre-Op Prep:
- Assist surgeons in setting up OT: sterilize instruments, arrange drapes, check anesthesia setup.
- Confirm patient details, consent forms, allergies, fasting status — flag any red flags.
- Prepare surgical tray per procedure type (cataract, glaucoma, retina, etc.).
Intra-Op Support:
- Hand instruments during surgery — anticipate surgeon’s needs, maintain sterile field.
- Monitor vitals, suction, irrigation, cautery — assist with microscope adjustments.
- Document intra-op events, instrument usage, implant details.
Post-Op Care:
- Clean & restock OT after each case — disinfect surfaces, autoclave tools.
- Assist in shifting patient to recovery room, handover to ward nurse.
- Report any complications or equipment issues immediately.
Admin & Compliance:
- Maintain OT logbook: case type, surgeon, time, consumables used.
- Follow infection control SOPs strictly — hand hygiene, PPE, waste segregation.
- Attend weekly OT audits, participate in drills (fire, emergency protocols).
Teamwork:
- Coordinate with anesthesia, nursing, front desk for smooth OT scheduling.
- Support OT Fellows/Interns during training — teach instrument handling, sterile technique.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology / OT Nursing / (link unavailable) OT preferred
- Certification: Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or equivalent
- Experience: 1+ year in eye OT preferred (general OT experience acceptable)
- Skills: Sterile technique, instrument handling, calm under pressure, teamwork

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
