Job Purpose:
You’ll be part of a high-impact, cross-functional team focused on building platform foundations that make Luciq’s products resilient, observable, and scalable.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable infrastructure on AWS leveraging Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern DevOps patterns (IaC, GitOps, self-service clusters).
- Develop and evolve the internal observability platform (metrics, logs, traces, profiling, and business telemetry) to proactively detect issues and highlight optimization opportunities.
- Lead cost-optimization and performance-efficiency initiatives, building automation and analytics pipelines to continuously reduce spend and surface insights.
- Partner with senior engineers and product teams to define reliability, availability, and scalability standards.
- Mentor and influence engineers across teams, helping raise the technical bar and guide architectural decisions across Luciq.
Contribute to Luciq’s internal platform ecosystem, including developer tooling, build pipelines, and cloud governance automation.
Job Requirements:
- 8+ years in backend, DevOps, or platform engineering roles, with deep experience in AWS and Kubernetes.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc .i).
- Proven hands-on experience designing or operating observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Mimir, OpenTelemetry, VictoriaMetrics, ClickHouse, etc.).
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, autoscaling, cost control, and performance tuning.
- Exposure to FinOps frameworks and AWS Cost Explorer, BigQuery billing exports, or custom cost pipelines
- Programming experience in Go, Python, or similar, especially for building automation or internal tooling.
- Track record of leading cross-team technical initiatives or mentoring engineers at scale.
- A growth mindset and passion for building platforms that empower other teams to move faster and safer.
Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid infrastructure.
Bonus:
- Familiarity with AI-driven observability, anomaly detection, or predictive scaling systems.
Contributions to open-source observability or infrastructure projects.
