Staff Relations Support – Temporary

Compensation Range

$45.00 - $50.00 / Hour


Overview

This position is eligible for a 100% remote work-from-home schedule. This is a Temporary Flex role, averaging 20 to 40 hours per week, with intermittent breaks throughout the year based on need.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Staff Relations, you will work amongst a dynamic team at The Cheesecake Factory corporate support center in Calabasas Hills, CA. As a Staff Relations Support Temporary, you will play an integral part in conducting workplace investigations on harassment, discrimination, inappropriate behavior, and other company policy violations for a global $3.7 billion public company with over 350 full-service restaurants and more than 48,000 total staff members.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Thorough Investigations: Support the Staff Relations team by conducting comprehensive investigations into workplace concerns, ensuring a fair and impartial process.
  • Effective Interviewing: Facilitate structured and objective interviews with both managers and staff members to gather relevant information and assess concerns.
  • Address Staff Concerns: Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries and complaints, providing guidance and resolution in alignment with company policies and best practices.
  • Documentation & Recordkeeping: Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of both informal inquiries and formal investigations, maintaining compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Culture & Standards Compliance: Assist in fostering and upholding company culture, values, and workplace expectations through proactive engagement and policy enforcement.
  • EthicsPoint Case Management: Accurately input case notes, upload relevant attachments, and maintain comprehensive case records within the EthicsPoint system.
  • Timely Case Resolution: Ensure cases are processed efficiently and closed within appropriate timeframes to support a responsive and effective Staff Relations function.
  • Professionalism & Confidentiality: Exhibit the highest level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive employee matters and confidential information.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in workplace investigations, including EEO investigations
  • Human Resources practices and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of employment laws.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently with little supervision and be a team player.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
What we prefer:
  • PHR/SPHR preferred.
  • HR leadership role over two or more functions.
  • HR experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
