Department Information

The Agricultural Labor Relations Board (ALRB) was established in 1975 to bring justice to the fields of California by providing collective bargaining rights to farmworkers—workers who were explicitly excluded from the protections of the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) of 1935. Our mission is rooted in the belief that all agricultural employees deserve the right to organize, advocate for themselves, and work free from interference or coercion.

Headquartered in downtown Sacramento, with regional offices throughout California, the ALRB works to ensure fair and stable labor relations in one of the most vital industries in the state.

Why Work With Us?

We are a small but dedicated administrative team that believes in the power of public service. We are committed to:

  • Building a stronger, more inclusive workplace through collaboration and innovation
  • Making meaningful contributions to policy and organizational development
  • Fostering continuous learning and growth for all team members

If you are passionate about making government more effective, working in a collaborative, mission-focused environment, and your skills align with this duty statement—we encourage you to apply.
