Electric Edge Podcast is a growing podcast focused solely on the Los Angeles Chargers. We cover the Los Angeles Chargers with the depth of an analyst and the passion of a fan — breaking down film, roster construction, draft strategy, and everything in between. Since launching in 2025, we've built a loyal, engaged audience and earned YouTube monetization in under nine months. Now we're expanding our written coverage, and we want you on the team.

The Role We're looking for a Staff Writer to produce article and blog content covering the Chargers for our site and platforms. You'll write game recaps, film breakdowns, opinion pieces, roster analysis, draft profiles, and reaction articles tied to the news cycle. Your byline goes on every piece. You'll work directly with the Electric Edge team and have a voice in what we cover. You'll also have the ability to influence the podcast based on your work.

This is a portfolio-building position — ideal for someone who wants real reps, real publishing credits, and a real audience while building toward a career in sports media.

What You'll Do

• Write 1–3 Chargers-focused articles per week (length and cadence flexible based on the news cycle)
• Pitch your own story ideas and collaborate on planned content around games, the draft, and free agency
• Bring a clear voice and a point of view — we're not looking for wire-copy recaps
• Occasionally coordinate with the podcast side to turn written work into talking points or vice versa

Who You Are

• A strong writer with a genuine love for the Chargers and the NFL
• An aspiring sports journalist, student, or knowledgeable superfan ready to publish consistently
• Comfortable with deadlines and self-directed work
• Familiar with NFL roster construction, draft strategy, or football analytics is a major plus
• Bonus points for experience with WordPress, basic SEO, or social platforms
