Staffing Payroll & Multi-State Tax Specialist (US Project)

We are a US staffing company and are seeking a highly experienced professional to manage payroll, payroll taxes, accounting, compliance, and back-office operations.

This role is not for a general accountant. We need someone who understands the operational and financial challenges of a US staffing company, including temporary staffing, contract staffing, timesheets, workers' compensation, payroll taxes, client invoicing, and franchise reporting.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years working for a US Payroll and Taxes
  • Experience with multi-state payroll taxes
  • Experience handling Federal and State payroll tax filings
  • Strong understanding of timesheet-to-payroll-to-billing workflow
  • Ability to work during US business hours
  • Fluent spoken English conversation

Responsibilities

Payroll Operations

  • Process weekly payroll for staffing employees.
  • Review and validate timesheets.
  • Handle overtime calculations.
  • Manage payroll reconciliations.
  • Process payroll adjustments.

Tax & Compliance

  • Manage multi-state payroll tax compliance.
  • Handle federal, state, and local tax filings.
  • Resolve tax notices and payroll tax discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with staffing industry regulations.

Staffing Accounting

  • Reconcile payroll with client invoices.
  • Monitor gross margins and labor costs.
  • Track workers' compensation expenses.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing.

Franchise Reporting

  • Prepare franchise royalty calculations.
  • Generate management reports.
  • Maintain compliance with franchisor requirements.

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs250,000.00 per month
