Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Payroll Specialist to manage and support U.S. payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience processing payroll across multiple pay cycles, a strong understanding of U.S. payroll regulations and tax requirements, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. This role requires close collaboration with U.S. and Pakistan-based HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of payroll-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process U.S. payroll accurately and on schedule across weekly, biweekly, and monthly payroll cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and employment laws.
  • Review and validate payroll data, earnings, deductions, taxes, and employee records.
  • Calculate commissions, bonuses, incentives, and other variable compensation components based on approved compensation structures.
  • Assist in the development, review, and evaluation of compensation and commission plans.
  • Conduct payroll analysis and financial modeling to assess compensation costs and business impact.
  • Prepare payroll, commission, and compensation reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support payroll audits, compliance reviews, and reporting requirements.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and ensure timely issue resolution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Analyst, or similar role, preferably supporting U.S.-based payroll operations.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll practices, employment regulations, taxation, and labor laws.
  • Experience managing multiple payroll cycles, including weekly, biweekly, and monthly payrolls.
  • Understanding of payroll tax compliance requirements at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are mandatory, including proficiency in formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
