Job Description: The Manufacturing Staging Associate is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate preparation of materials and components for the production process. This role involves organizing, staging, and managing inventory to support manufacturing operations, ensuring that the production lines have the necessary resources to maintain a steady workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and stage materials, components, and supplies for production orders.
- Verify and inspect materials for quality and quantity against production requirements.
- Label and organize materials appropriately for easy identification and retrieval.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies to the Inventory Control team.
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Participate in inventory audits and reconciliation processes.
Production Support:
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to the manufacturing floor.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down production areas, ensuring they are clean, organized, and safe.
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and staging activities.
- Complete required documentation for material transfers, returns, and adjustments.
- Generate reports on staging activities, inventory status, and production support metrics.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Production Supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in manufacturing or logistics is a plus.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably in a staging or material handling role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and production processes.
Skills:
- Forklift certified
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and documentation.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with RF scanners
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials, up to 50 lbs., and operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).

- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
Working Conditions:
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
Schedule:
- 1st shift full-time position with potential additional hours and on the weekends
