Stainless Steel Tank Fabricator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled stainless steel tank fabricator to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality metal components and assemblies, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications. The successful applicant will be proficient in various hand and power tools, with a strong understanding of sheet metal and welding techniques, including TIG welding. A background in mechanical knowledge and basic maths will support accurate fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, and specifications to produce accurate components
• Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
• Performing TIG welding and other welding techniques as required to join metal components securely
• Working with sheet metal to create precise parts for various projects
• Using mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication processes
• Ensuring all work meets quality standards and safety regulations
• Maintaining a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency
• Assisting in the assembly of fabricated parts into final products or structures
• Able to work to deadlines

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tank fabrication and TIG welding
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
• Knowledge of sheet metal work and assembly processes
• Strong mechanical aptitude coupled with basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in welding are preferred

Pay: £37,500.00-£60,000.00 per year
