Position Summary
Fusion is seeking a Standardization and Evaluations Specialist to support performance measurement, evaluation product development, readiness reporting, and continuous improvement across a mission-critical federal program. This role builds objective evaluation tools, analyzes data, produces dashboards and briefings, and supports after-action and operational evaluation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop evaluation procedures, tools, scorecards, and reporting products that objectively assess strategic goals, mission objectives, and performance requirements, and support updates to associated TTPs, SOPs, and manuals.
- Collect and analyze data from initial and recurring training, surveys, focus groups, and exercises to support performance improvement initiatives.
- Prepare risk-related readiness briefings and recommended mitigation criteria for leadership review.
- Maintain and improve issue-tracking databases supporting before-action and after-action review processes and assist with annual updates to evaluation documentation.
- Review and update evaluation metrics and scorecards used to assess multiple positions and exercise activities.
- Support the after-action process across recurring exercises, including input review, assessment synthesis, meetings, AAR development, and issue updates.
- Assist in designing and co-leading operational evaluations or commissioning events for new or significantly improved capabilities.
- May perform additional mission-aligned duties as required to support program objectives.
Required Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in program evaluation, analytics, education, organizational development, emergency management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data collection, data analysis, trend analysis, process improvement, learning management system support, or evaluation methodology.
- Additional experience in performance evaluation, methodology development, standards development, or formal assessments strongly preferred.
- Strong ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data into practical dashboards, briefings, and recommendations.
- Experience coordinating evaluation criteria with program managers and other stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting readiness programs, after-action review processes, or performance qualification frameworks.
- Background with scorecard design, database improvement, or operational commissioning events.
Security Clearance Requirements
- Candidates must have an active TS to be considered.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain SCI access and SAP eligibility/indoctrination as required for assigned duties.
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Work is primarily performed onsite in secure government facilities in the National Capital Region.
- Work schedules may include coverage between 0500 and 2000 Monday through Friday, with evening, weekend, and holiday support as mission requirements dictate.
- Short notice travel within and outside the continental United States may be required based on operational needs.
- Employees must comply with installation access, badging, operational security, and classified material handling requirements at all times.
- Requires strong analytical discipline, data integrity awareness, and the ability to communicate findings to operational and executive audiences.
- This position supports a high-visibility federal mission and is expected to remain fully compliant with customer security, access, and performance requirements.
- Applicants should be prepared to provide evidence of active clearance status and relevant experience supporting government or defense organizations.
