Create commissioning and startup plans, schedules, and checklists to guide the process and ensure alignment with project requirements.
Conduct various on-site tests, such as mechanical inspections, electrical inspections, pressure tests, and leak tests, to verify proper installation and functionality of diesel engines and integrated systems
Investigate faults, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions or repairs to ensure systems operate as intended.
Maintain accurate documentation, including detailed test reports and performance data, and manage document control to support project requirements and audits.
Ensure all commissioning activities adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including proper isolation procedures (LOTO) and leak testing.
Lead and supervise technical teams during commissioning activities, providing technical guidance and support to operations personnel during startup and ongoing operations.
Oversee the commissioning of various electrical &mechanical systems, ensuring that components and integrated systems perform according to design intent and operational specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deadlines are met.
Assist in the planning and execution of commissioning activities for various engineering systems.
Provide technical support and guidance to clients and stakeholders throughout the commissioning process.
Ability to implement all synchronization works between gensets and the utility and between gensets themselves.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Diesel generator startup and commissioning processes.
Proven understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to commissioning processes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with automation and control systems, including PLCs and SCADA systems.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance throughout the commissioning process.
A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving in a dynamic work setting.
Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar.
