State Campaign Director

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly organized State Campaign Director to oversee and lead large-scale voter registration and community outreach operations across multiple counties and regions.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving statewide operational success, managing large field teams, ensuring compliance, overseeing campaign performance, and leading fast-paced outreach initiatives that create measurable community impact.

What You’ll Lead

As the State Campaign Director, you will oversee:

  • Statewide voter registration and outreach operations
  • Multi-county field deployment and workforce management
  • Campaign staffing, operational logistics, and leadership development
  • Daily and weekly production goals, KPIs, and operational performance
  • Compliance oversight and escalation management
  • Community partnerships and stakeholder coordination
  • Strategic expansion and deployment planning
  • Budget oversight and operational accountability

You will serve as a key operational leader responsible for ensuring statewide programs operate efficiently, professionally, and in compliance with all applicable laws and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead statewide voter registration and field outreach operations
  • Supervise county leadership teams, field managers, and operational staff
  • Develop and execute statewide deployment and staffing strategies
  • Monitor productivity metrics, registration goals, and operational KPIs
  • Review operational reports and identify areas for improvement

Workforce & Performance Management

  • Build and manage high-performing field leadership teams
  • Maintain accountability, morale, and operational consistency across regions
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and leadership development
  • Implement corrective action and performance improvement initiatives when necessary

Compliance & Crisis Management

  • Ensure compliance with applicable voter registration laws and operational procedures
  • Lead escalation response and operational issue resolution
  • Support quality control initiatives and accountability standards
  • Maintain professionalism, neutrality, and operational integrity statewide

Strategic Partnerships & Reporting

  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and community organizations
  • Provide executive-level operational updates and performance reporting
  • Support statewide growth initiatives and operational expansion opportunities

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in field operations, political campaigns, canvassing, nonprofit outreach, or workforce management
  • Proven experience managing large teams and multi-region operations
  • Strong organizational, operational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage fast-paced environments and shifting operational priorities
  • High-level understanding of compliance, logistics, and workforce accountability
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak operational periods
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct voter registration or political campaign experience
  • Experience scaling statewide operations
  • Bilingual capabilities strongly preferred
  • Experience with operational reporting systems and workforce management tools

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Benchmark

  • Competitive salary: $85,000 – $135,000 annually

Compensation is based on operational scope, statewide complexity, workforce size, and leadership experience.
