State Sales Manager – Premium Wine & Spirits (Florida)


Location:
Remote (Southern Florida preferred)
Compensation: $140,000 – $150,000 base salary + 25% bonus, car allowance, and full benefits


About the Opportunity


A leading global wine and spirits organization is seeking an experienced State Sales Manager to drive market growth across Florida. This high-impact role oversees distributor relationships, key account development, and a team of Market Sales Managers to expand distribution and brand presence across both on-premise (bars, restaurants, hotels) and off-premise (retail, wholesale) channels.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute Florida’s annual sales strategy in partnership with regional leadership.


  • Manage and mentor a team of 3–4 Market Sales Managers to achieve volume and revenue goals.


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retail accounts.


  • Oversee pricing, promotions, and merchandising programs to maximize profitability and market share.


  • Plan and lead key account calls and promotional events to strengthen brand visibility.


  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to identify growth opportunities.


  • Travel frequently across the state to support field execution and build distributor engagement.


  • Manage budgets and ensure high ROI on all sales programs.


Qualifications


  • Experience:
    Minimum 5 years in premium wine and/or spirits sales with proven success managing a state or regional territory.


  • Background working with both suppliers and distributors is required.


  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing sales teams of 3+ people.


  • Established network of industry contacts in Florida, including relationships with major distributors (RNDC or equivalent preferred).


  • Expertise in pricing strategies, distributor management, and key account development.


  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.


  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel 4–5 days per week throughout Florida.


  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently while driving results.
