Cunningham Cattle Company is looking for a Station Cook to join the team!
The Station Cook plays an essential role in supporting station life by preparing daily meals, maintaining kitchen and accommodation facilities, and helping create a clean, welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

The Role
We have an amazing opportunity for a reliable and enthusiastic Station Cook to join our team. In your new role, you will prepare nutritious meals for up to 20 people, manage kitchen supplies and stock, and ensure all communal, dining, and guest areas are clean, well-presented, and welcoming.
Alongside core kitchen duties, you may also assist with general housekeeping and occasional gardening or station support tasks.
This role suits someone who enjoys cooking, takes pride in a clean and organised workspace, and likes being part of a friendly, hardworking team.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Station Cook, you'll keep the heart of the station running by preparing daily meals for up to 20 people, keeping the kitchen organised, and ensuring communal and guest areas are clean and welcoming. Your work will include:
Food Preparation & Catering
• Cook daily meals, baked goods and smoko items (we love our cakes and bikkies!)
• Keep breakfast items, cold meats, salads and pantry supplies stocked
• Minimise waste and manage leftovers wisely
Cleaning & Housekeeping
• Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen, dining and communal areas
• Deep-clean fridges, ovens and other kitchen equipment when needed
• Look after guest rooms, including linen and bathroom cleaning
Facilities & Stock
• Sweep and tidy verandas and outdoor areas
• Assist with light gardening/yard duties and BBQ area cleaning
• Organise storerooms, rotate stock and help collect supplies when required
About You
You will bring:
• Experience cooking for groups (station, camp, hospitality or similar)
• Strong organisation and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
• A positive, team-oriented attitude
• Reliability, honesty and pride in your work
