Position Summary

The Station Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a logistics and warehouse station, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective handling of goods and services. This role involves managing staff, optimizing workflows, maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery and operational performance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage end-to-end station operations including inbound/outbound logistics, inventory control, and warehouse management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments and deliveries.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to meet performance targets.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates, drivers, and administrative staff.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support professional development.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve operational issues and customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure service excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance reporting.
  • Implement and enforce company SOPs and safety protocols.
  • Manage station budget, including labor, equipment, and supplies.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to financial targets.
  • Oversee procurement and maintenance of warehouse equipment.


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or transportation management.
  • Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced operational environment. Minimum 5 years previous experience managing a freight forwarding and/or trucking operation
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze data and drive performance improvements.
  • OSHA Certification
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Eligible for STA background and certification


Working Conditions

  • On-site role with occasional travel to regional stations or corporate offices.
  • May require extended hours during peak seasons or emergencies.

  • Physical activity including walking, lifting, and operating warehouse equipment.
